Santi White, better known for her stage name Santigold (formerly Santogold) is a bona fide bad bitch to say the least. Lately I've been listening to her music religiously. Here are some of my favorites.
check her out if you're into M.I.A, Azealia Banks, Lykke Li, Amy Winehouse
Whether it be his indie dapperness, witty sense of humor, or talent on and off the screen, Los Angeles native, Jason Schwartzman has won my heart as well as rights to my body and soul. He's starred in several of my favorite movies including : Rushmore, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Shopgirl, Marie Antoinette, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and Moonrise Kingdom. He's also made appearances in shows like Freaks and Geeks, Bored to Death, and Parks and Recreation. Hey remember that guy Michael from Princess Diaries? That's Jason's brother! I applaud Mr. and Mrs. Schwartzman for their genes. He's related to the Coppolas (Francis Ford, Sophia, Roman, and Christopher) and NICHOLAS CAGE. Oh and btw, Michael aka Robert Schwartzman is the vocalist and guitarist for the band Rooney! I highly recommend them if you're into alt-indie-rock. In 2006, he created the indie rock solo act Coconut Records. He was also the drummer and songwriter for the band Phantom Planet before leaving to focus on his acting career. He's dated Selma Blair and Zooey Deschanel, and is currently married to Brady Cunningham (they have one kid). In 2009, he was named one of the top 10 most stylish men in America by GQ magazine. He's also a vegetarian... *Romantic sigh*
'You don't know it yet, but I just melted your heart with my invisible eye lasers'
What a babe though!
I'm probably the only one who fantasizes about being an iPad... That is if it's being held by a presumably naked Jason Schwartzman.
Hotter than the coffee in his hands. Plot twist, it's not coffee, it's tea, and it's not hot, it's cold.
My two biggest crushes in one picture. (I'll save Michael for another day.)
'West Coast' by Coconut Records live from the Roxy
1:19 when he wraps his arms around himself and sways... *wipes tears of keyboard and unpauses
Jason Schwartzman's What's in my Bag @ Amoeba. Need I say more.
I don't think I like the mall at all. I mean I love shopping, don't get me wrong, it's just the people in the mall make me want to give myself a swirly and then light my hair on fire. These random people just walk right up next to you with no regard for your/ my preference of personal space. Clothing store employees are either all up in your business or are silently judging you from afar. Mom's let their children run loose in stores. Whenever I walk into Hollister in particular I feel like I have to have a gas mask and a flash light on me. Ugh ugh ugh. The only pleasant time I had in a store was when Foreign Exchange played the Birthday Song by 2 Chains. Is it sad that I know every word of that song? (I'm listening to it right now and so are you. It's like we're... connected.)
But that's just how I feel about the mall nearest to my house. I've been to lovely malls and I've been to dumpier malls, but for the most part, I'm not a big fan of them anymore. I used to love going to the mall, but it was a different time. BUT IF YOU'RE A HOMIE OF MINE AND YOU'RE LIKE HEY LESLEY YOU WANT TO HANGOUT AT THE MALL WITH ME THEN I WOULD SAY YES OF COURSE.
So what I did was just go to this little Cuban restaurant, order a papa rellena and a pineapple soda, sit in a little secluded section of the mall, and read some Fahrenheit 451 by the legendary Ray Bradbury.
I'm absolutely in love with the book and if you haven't read it, I highly recommend it! It's a quick read and has an interesting plot to say the least. The book takes place in the future where books are against the law. This guy, Guy Montag, is a fireman who burns books for a living. He meets a girl named Clarisse McClellan who changes the way he sees things. (I wanted them to have an affair for some reason).
You know what's funny? I used to never really be into sci-fi, but now I love it.
Well that's that for now. Have a lovely Friday
